Young Jenifer, stranded in Florida when the woman who promised to look after the Jordons, decamps, undertakes to keep her 8 brothers, sisters, (whole and half) in line in true Army tradition, so that her father, the General, now in Europe, will be proud of her. To her own family problems, she adds that of Cyril, war-shocked English boy, Lacey and her two beaux, and the battle against Cyril's domineering aunt. Jenifer's collapse brings the aunt to bat, eventually willingly, and relieves Jenifer of the hardest part of her work. Nice kids, and wholesome treatment of juvenile questions.
