TRINKET

Her antics for getting attention, her warm response to love, immediately distinguished Trinket from the other ponies on the Morrow ranch. But her persistence in getting out of bounds made it necessary for young Grant to part with his rambunctious little animal. The happy beneficiaries were the underprivileged children of Freedom Place for whom Trinket performed admirably. Next came her stint as a performing pony in the Big Little Show and then a return to the pastures owned by the jovial Foss family. Wherever she went, children were her special friends and when in the course of sales and re-sales she finds herself back with Grant, (Trinket could hardly misinterpret his special whistle), she can barely contain herself. The cycle is really complete when her next of kin appears presumably to continue the unique tradition of her fun-loving mother. Except in superimposed explanations of her feelings, the horse remains a horse, as a mildly pleasant story moves from episode to episode.
