JENNY AND THE TENNIS NUT

An easygoing, easy-to-endorse plea for self-determination, thinly disguised as the story of Jenny, a terrific acrobat, and her tennis nut father, who buys her a racket and insists on teaching her how to play. But at last Jenny gets across to him that she'd rather be a human monkey, and she puts on a dazzling performance to demonstrate her skill. Whereupon--""'You have found your game all by yourself. You do it well and you really enjoy it. Gymnastics is right for you,' he said."" Hafner gives the lesson an agreeably relaxed air (though she sometimes makes Daddy look more like another kid), but it does seem to have sprung from a prescription pad.
