KIRKUS REVIEW

How can Little Bear go to Thanksgiving dinner--his winter sleep will have begun. His faithful friends Owl, Squirrel, Sparrow, and Squeaky (the mouse) wake him in time by reciting the menu in his ear; Goldie, the hostess, thanks them with invitations to dine. Repetition and rhythm make it a read-aloud natural, with Mariana's familiar pastel and black and white drawings as accompaniment. Slight and unsurprising, but the pleasing presentation will make new friends for Little Bear and satisfy his old ones.
