KIRKUS REVIEW

The common characteristic binding together a menagerie of sundry creatures in a single volume is their downright meanness. From dragons to rabbits, from tigers to trolls, villainy runs rampant. But in each case the trouble maker is vanquished -- often by a creature smaller, if more ingenious than himself. These are tiny anecdotes subtly illustrated in one color by El Young. They demonstrate happily how justice triumphs even where and giants are involved, yet not on a par with A Tree is Nice or Let's Be Enemies.
