TARA'S HEALING

Returning to the Kentucky hills of Miss Willie, this also re-introduces familiar figures of that book, tells of Tara Cochrane, a doctor, who is brought there by an old friend, Hod Pierce, after loneliness and self-pity have led to a breakdown in a psycho ward. The right neighborliness of these people, the therapy of the outdoors, this leads to Tara's regeneration and recovery, and there's the hope of a future romance as well. Uplift, in down to earth terms, this is a Family Reading Club selection and has a general home and hearth appeal.
