KIRKUS REVIEW

The Little Old Lady tries everything. She plants fruit trees, flowers and herbs, all of which are charmingly illustrated in small, soft water color pictures by Mariana, but still she is lonely. Finally a little bird tells her what she needs is companionship and lo- come a crow, a rabbit, a cat and a Little Old Man. A plum. Side sewn and reinforced.
