PETER HOLT, P.K.

By

Publisher: Harcourt, Brace

A good-humored and sympathetic story of a minister's son, family fun, troubles and community activities. Peter Holt was tired of being called ""Preacher's Kid"" whenever the Holts moved to a new town. But Peter learned to like Millersville where his parents and the four children moved, and he learned other things, too -- how to handle the town bully and make him his friend with a gift of Peter's Belgian hares, how to collect votes on the piano contest so the school could win a piano, and most important of all, the value of generosity. A friendly and lively book with some glimpses of small town life and the type of problems a minister-father (a very understanding and jolly man) must face.
