KIRKUS REVIEW

Note this for an excellently constructed story- that doesn't preach at all but just tells of Danny and his problem of adjusting when a new baby sister comes into the household. At first Danny, who has the natural self centeredness of a seven year old, misses his parents at dinner, trips to the playground with mother who can't leave small Susan alone etc. Worse still, he gets into fights, grumbles, won't say a word- until one day his mother asks him to watch the baby and Danny, when she cries, turns her over and gets a smile that turns the tables.
