THE FORGETFUL ELEPHANT by Jean Greene

THE FORGETFUL ELEPHANT

By

Publisher: McKay

Little Max, forgetful and awkward, whose father and mother are well trained, dependable circus elephants, is always in disgrace, even before the trainer starts teaching him tricks. His early mistakes in the circus ring cause all sorts of trouble, but his concentration on realizing his ambition -- to jump through a hoop -- turns chaos into success and he becomes a circus headliper. Tibor Gergely's pictures are often amusing and go well with this lively story.
