KIRKUS REVIEW

**There can be no doubt of either the timeliness of the appearance or of the excellence of this work on Christian Unity. Divided into four sections, Christian Unity in the Liturgical Cycle, Prayer and Work for Unity, The Unity of the Church and Christian Unity and The Theological Virtues and Unity, it treats almost every conceivable aspect of Christian Unity from the Catholic point of view with depth, precision and intellectual charity. Part I contains a series of meditations in tune with the liturgical year but focussed always on the theme of unity. The other three parts taken together present an analysis and suggest a program in detail anent the entire subject of Christian unity. This book can be recommended as indispensable for inculcating a habit of ecumenical prayer, thought and action on the part of Catholics in keeping with the surest norms of Christian truth and love. Imprimatur.
