MARINES: ""Sea

Three short stories of the sea, indefinite, Idyllic, poetic in cast -- with a very distinct quality. The first concerns a boy whose hatred of the city, and fear of further constitution when he is drafted for the army, makes him run away -- to a where he but successfully for many months, and where he meets -- and falls in love with -- a peasant girl. The second is a fragment only -- of life in port. She third, a romantic interlude on a sailing boat -- and its ending. None are completely formulated, all have a sense of mood --artistically conveyed.
