Another matter-of-fact approach to the effects -- in a small town -- of murder takes off when Jim Singley is released from prison after 6 years. His return acts as a re-charge:- for his best friend, now a judge; his vicious wife and teenage son; the girl whose evidence had saved him from a death sentence; and the wife of the man he was supposed to have killed cold bloodedly. The interlinking of guilt, lies, doubt and unrevealed truth brings out a killer and a troubled settling of the past. Catalytic.
