KIRKUS REVIEW

Misreported in the last bulletin (3/1) as a new edition of THE FIRST FLYING BOOK by Campbell Tatham and Jeanne Bendick, this new book is being printed to replace the former. With differences in format and the addition of military geared information, rockets, jets and so forth, this retains much of the chatty, personal quality in its characters, is a fairly good survey of planes and plane activity. This time the new author's sprightly drawings aren't word pictures but supplements to the text.
