Bracket this for both sections- 12 to 15 and Young Adults. Jeanne Bendick's breezy style and easy line drawings, coupled with her television engineer husband's know-how and the result is a book that gives you just what you want to know about how programs originate, what the various engineers and directors do, how programs are picked up and transmitted, and other pertinent material. We'd double-star this except for two faults:- the first chapter consists of an extensive glossary which is unintelligible even after reading the book; some of the technical explanations seem only to substitute one set of terms for another. Nevertheless, interested readers will find this engaging, and for the most part, lucid, as they found Jeanne Bendick's earlier books.
