EVERYTHING BUT A HUSBAND

Perhaps you have seen the ads in the papers, promising the single girl her pick of bachelors at resorts in the Catskills? Perhaps you have heard that girls on the prowl will stake their all to get a week-end chance at bait thus temptingly hold out? Perhaps you have been told that most of the people who fall for this are Jewish- and that the places, while not strictly Kosher are on the lox and bagel circuit? Well, here is a story built around such a week-end; there are five girls about whose past and present the plot revolves -- and in flashback and triggered dialogue (girl to girl- girl to man) their stories unfold, as they prey and are preyed upon. So much for a dispassionate outline of content and direction....BUT- is this book necessary? Do we have to have a minutely detailed, paragraph on paragraph description of sexual orgies, of discussion of perversion, of human anatomy in shameless display? I found it more than distasteful- coldly disgusting- and abysmally boring. Let's exercise our personal right to draw a line.
