ADAM PENFEATHER, BUCCANEER

Flowery filibustering, zounds and egad abounding, covering highly energetic and highly implausible activities. Blood brothers, Adam and Absalom, avenge the death of Adam's father, rescue and adopt a pretty girl (and both fall in love with her), and set off to see to rescue political prisoners sold into slavery. Antonia, disguised as a boy, sets sell with them; a merciless storm sinks the ship; Absalom and Antonia are separated from Adam, who becomes a mighty buccaneer. Comes the Inquisition, and Adam goes to Ablom's rescues, too late.
