Most schools make some attempt to teach boys and girls how to use a library, either a school library or a public library. Here is a book that should be used extensively in that connection, a book which gives the details of what goes on behind the scenes, which helps make one see what makes the wheels go round. There is an enormous amount of basic information on books behind the scenes of publishing and distribution; there is what amounts to a personal tour of the public library in all its many functions; there is clear presentation of the functions, the uses, the tools; how to get and how to organize information. A book which should have some vocational value for young people considering the library as a possible field of operation.
