With the same naivete and innocent observation that made for the appeal of The Young Visitors of years ago, this undemonstrative blue book to adult behavior mirrors the grownup world in a child's eyes. For the eleven year old author has meditated on the variety and vagaries of parents, her own and others', and has set forth the proper way of dealing with them. Acknowledging that adults are not alike, that they are not just big children, she goes from mothers, to fathers (other children's since ""My father does not live with us""), grandparents and other relatives, on to the subject of money, religion, teachers and schools, parties, working mothers -- and growing up. A slight, gentle and pleasant reflecting of a young inquiry into a world, that, in spite of being incomprehensible, must be put up with.
