THE QUIET FEAR

This is second string Creasey but it proceeds with a fair amount of tension to tighten the rope around the neck of Guy Carlyle--business man-family man--until it seems that he had been involved in a smuggling operation and with the wife of an associate. However his family's faith in his innocence, after a murder, helps to resolve older domestic doubts. . . . As before, all mixmaster-minded with efficient haste.
