KIRKUS REVIEW

Perhaps a better sustained story than its predecessors (Murder With Your Malted and Leopard Cats Cradle) as again Chick Varney, drug store clerk, shakes up another murder involving a steady customer, a drug-addicted novelist. A plethora of suspects, convincingly built up, but the field narrows down when another attempt at murder brings the final suspect into the open. Adequate.
