MARVELLA'S HOBBY

Marvella the cow was in love with a train -- Freight Train No. 10- specifically. Every morning she would stand by the pasture fence and answer its toot with a mooing love call of her own. Mr. Howard, her owner, was not perturbed until Marvella's sudden peculiar behavior caused him to call the vet. It was on this morning that the freight train failed to appear. Ignoring everyone, Marvella sets out in search of her heart's delight and just in the nick of time. Placing herself between the oncoming train and the storm-wrecked bridge, she saves her love from a dangerous accident. Marvella's independence and charm, her loyalty and loveliness come through beautifully in this droll story.
