YOUR DAUGHTER IRIS

A 23 year old New York girl reports on her stay in England in letters to her mother, and graphs the course of a marital fever. Iris' husband, a doctor, is sent over to do a rare operation. His adaptability to English ways grates against Iris' faux pas. Both make the romantic overtures that could lead to their separation but a showdown leads to a backfire, that leads to a flare-up that dies down and sees them together again. A pre-fabricated set up but the values are stable.
