KIRKUS REVIEW

A fragment of RAF activity comes out from under wraps in the story of the transports that left Tempsford carrying -- not bombs- but volunteers who were to penetrate and aid resistance movements and harry from within in occupied countries. The stories of the men who flew and the men who dropped and those who were picked up are recounted in their moonlight rendezvous, defying obstacles of weather and enemy aircraft in a rousing account of ""common fortitude"" and often uncommon courage. Good.
