Good entertainment in the romantic field, with likeable characters, engaging sentimentality and diverting writing, which lifts the plot above the average run of the mill. The theme may sound stereotyped:- Irish Peter loves Austrian Nicola, Nicola loves Peter, but they are parted by Peter's career and Nicola's duty to her father. There are amusing bits; the regulation lovers' partings are handled with gay tenderness. Not over-moral, but not offensive to any but the rabid conservatives. It's a lot of fun.
