HORSE CRAZY by Jesse M. Lilienthal

HORSE CRAZY

Pub Date: Sept. 23rd, 1941
Publisher: Messner

The Sport of Kings in the argot of the big gamble, horse racing, through anecdotes, experiences, rather than straight fiction. Could perhaps better be sold as non-fiction, particularly in the sporting book section. Read it for its picture of the racket, of honest trainers, of slickers and crooks, of touts and jockies and bookies, of every kind of horses. Lilienthal knows the game and passes it on to the reader with good blend of enthusiasm and common sense. For fans and fanciers.
