The Kids of Colombia extend a thirty-two page greeting in a series of photo portraits that shows them smiling, laughing, playing, going to school, working in the marketplace and waving goodbye. Ulrike Welsch's pictures are engaging throughout; however, except for a few glimpses of Indian children in ruanas and typical felt hats and of a spinning top game called La Coca, they reveal few specifics about Colombian life. Similarly, Jesse Sargent's captions are friendly but minimal. A good will extra.
