KIRKUS REVIEW

The networks have established their own standards of pronunciation and usage. Columbia set the pace, and has a book of its own. New comes NBC. Not a dictionary, but simply an alphabetical arrangement of words in common usage, and the pronunciation key and international phonetic alphabet key following each word. With radio establishing a basic guide, this handbook should prove useful for reference and confirmation.
