Roger Tory Peterson contributes the introduction as well as the system used for recognizing birds at a distance. The illustrations by Mrs. R. Fennessey are in full color (179) and black and white (280) and Mr. Williams is the Curator of birds at the Coryndon Museum in Nairobi.
