A DAY IN THE LIFE OF PRESIDENT KENNEDY by Jim Bishop

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF PRESIDENT KENNEDY

By

Pub Date: March 20th, 1964
Publisher: Random House

The author was the last reporter to work on a personal exclusive about John F. Kennedy. The book is being issued just as it would have appeared had the assassination not occurred. Four consecutive days at the White House, with note-book and stopwatch in hand provided the material on the scheduling of such matters Mrs. Kennedy's morning awakening, the President's ablutions and the activities of the two children. The immense vitality of the man and the attractiveness of the family group are once again made evident in spite of Mr. Bishop's solemn passion for minutiae which gains in significance only because of the tragic loss. The ""Day"" books have always sold well (The Day Lincoln Was Shot, The Day Christ Died, A Day In The Life of Eisenhower). Considering the circumstances as well as the pressure of heavy advertising, this will undoubtedly do far and away better than the similar effort on Eisenhower.
