KIRKUS REVIEW

The reader guesses long before Till Prentiss does that Seth Whitney, a dazzlingly sophisticated sophomore at Cranston College in Iowa is just not the boy for our heroine. Blase Seth had squired half the girls on the campus before he began to pay attention to unimportant Till, a freshman from Rockport, Illinois. It took advice from Cranstonian editor, Alan MacGregor, to help Till to see that Seth Whitney was in fact a collegiate Rudolph Rassendale. A lighter-than-air romance populated with collegiate stereotypes. Literature? No. Entertainment? Yes.
