KIRKUS REVIEW

Although written in a more readable style than most, this is just another face-to-face, head-to-foot encounter with teenagers--girls and boys. From blackheads to hip bulges, from shaving to shyness, the author covers all the usual topics: clothes, posture, beauty care, manners, reducing plans, parties, drinking, smoking, etc. Some adults may not support the author's positive claim for padded bras (when necessary) and her extensive advice about make-up (a little too extensive for teenagers, perhaps), but in the end, she settles for the happy medium and an avoidance of extremes of any kind.
