THE BOOK OF LIVING REPTILES

By

Publisher: Lippincott

Another fact and reference book about the reptilian kingdom, in which Ditmars is preeminent naturalist. The Book of Prehistoric Animals last year had a certain vogue, but this promises better. The illustrated maps, locating the reptiles, are less confused with detail and very decorative. One still feels that the text pages, though their use will be largely reference, are unprepossessing in the crowding of the text, and the size of the type. However, Ditmars and snakes mean a certain market, as the popularity of the adult books in juvenile departments evidences.
