THE CAT SHOW

Sarah, the pedigreed Siamese, and her kittens were being taken to the Cat Show by the haughty Misses Watkins- and their friends from the back streets were on hand to see them off in style, with Mr. Humber driving his big red car. But trouble was ahead when they stopped for a picnic and the kittens ran away. It gave the rest of the cats time to got to the Cat Show -- and Arabella's undistinguished non-pedigreed black kittens showed up with such good manners that they too walked off with a prize. It is an amusing story that small listeners who love cats will find irresistible. And the grownups- and older brothers and sisters will get an extra fillip out of the sophisticated humor of William Stobbs' bold postery illustrations.
