An expanded edition of the 1973 text with entirely new photos, this time in color. The Norfolk terriers here are adorable, as is the six-year-old shown admiring them while she waits for her pup to get old enough to take home; more important, the clear, explicit photos showing the birth are in good taste and almost as informative as being there. The admirably simple text goes on to caption delightful photos of the five pups' first eight weeks of learning, play, and maturation. Excellent in every way. (Nonfiction/Picture book. 3-8)
