KIRKUS REVIEW

The score at the beginning of this routine football story is that Al Tarrant of Monroe, a small Eastern college, must prove his worth on his own record rather than his father's. In the process he comes to grips with the talents of Mike Kojak- a social inferior- and in an ironically over-solicitous action almost muffs the chance for himself and Mike to win a grand joint award at the end of the year. Grid gab right up to the goal posts.
