One of the newer and don't-come-any-tougher writers in the business gives another four letter account of the one that begins with H when San Francisco's Neil Fargo, hired by a rich man to find his ""syphed up junkie"" daughter, becomes involved with an importer and a connection (the chauffeur who hooked her on drugs) and various others accountable for slow murders and sudden deaths. Very hard, very fast, and obviously designed to keep you on pins and needles. It does.
