THE STOPPED CLOCK

By

Pub Date: April 11th, 1958
Publisher: Simon & Schuster

An interlacing of the career and marriages of Nina Wandley starts with her attempted murder and revolves around and reveals her past and present history. The three extant husbands and the current one have their innings, with the story of her moving picture fame under director King Glore as the beginning, while her subsequent life with an alcoholic actor, a millionaire, a Prince, and a titled Englishman takes her around the world. After vanishing in World War II, she returns to marry a minor civil servant and live in Maryland. To catch the killer and save Nina is a bit of split second timing. Lushly overwritten and not too easy to like.
