KIRKUS REVIEW

With this book, portraits of the Sossi children are now complete. Karen already has her own book, and Aldo several. At last, Elaine, the eldest, now 15, has hers. Between family and school, Elaine has innumerable opportunities to do things quickly--too quickly and without much thought. But that's the fun of the whole book! Some of Elaine's spirit boils over onto family and friends in the funniest episode, when five people each give Aldo a puppy for his birthday. The idea of seeing the family from Elaine's point of view will attract Hurwitz's fans, who won't be disappointed.
