BOBCATS FOR BREAKFAST

Apparently Mr. Kulish, for some years trapper and hunter in what is left of New Hampshire's wilderness, has read books in running brooks, but unfortunately the prose was dictated from Nature's bathos-tubs by Thornton Burgess. (""'Say, Sweetie,' suggested the dog (otter), 'what do you say we go over to Halfmoon Pond?'"") Mr. Kulish does reminisce a good deal, discussing tools, equipment, dogs known and loved, beaver dams, otters, bobcats and other credit courses in Mother Nature's School. The author presently teaches in a nature camp in New Hampshire when he is not frontiering, and is undoubtedly a likable lecturer, but in print Mother Nature's prime student flunks creative writing.
