The author devised the popular Solunar tables first publicized in his previous work The Modern Angler, now broadcast on a nationwide hookup and given as advertisements on a big commercial program. Besides his fame as an author and fisherman, he is, believe it or not, professor of flyfishing at Columbia University. The novice will therefor be able to learn about rods, lures, casting methods, etc., from a real pedagogue but the old timers will also be able to pick up many a valuable hint and trick. Dr. Edgar Burke, who has illustrated so many Derrydale books, has done some of his inimitable color plates of flies and there are excellent photographs besides. All this is good, but the best part is the price --
