BLACK BASS

This has everything the black bass fisherman could desire-unless he be that low species (according to John Alden Knight), the bait fisherman. Even then, he'll enjoy this, and probably emerge from reading it a convert to angling. A mere outline of the content (facts of natural history, data on equipment, the hows and whys of fishing with casting rod or fly rod, etc.) gives no idea of the charm of the writing, the personal sense of learning to know the author, and the anecdotal character of the material. Both largemouth and smallmouth bass are discussed.
