KIRKUS REVIEW

A ""practical evaluation of love"" takes the tone and substance of an orthodox guide on the conservative side of Catholicism. Father Terbovich exhorts rather than explores the nature of love--of God, Christ, one's neighbor, oneself; differentiates between loving and liking; expatiates on prayer as an expression of love; characterizes charity. He takes a stand on sex somewhere safely distant from Playboyism and closer to the Victorianism he would also avoid (passionate kissing belongs to the marriage state alone). Distinctly directed to the devout.
