Written especially to accompany a set of superb color photographs, this ""(61 alto-book contains ""nearly all the mammals of the North American continent, gether) which have been arranged by increasing physical size, which makes for clearer mental images of the relative bulk of unfamiliar or seldom encountered animals. The text for each animal is as long as the subject warrants. This is really the photographer's book, for the author is, by his own admission, no naturalist and constantly quotes Mr. Rue, who is noted for his animal expertise. Of special interest: Mr. Rue's brief statement on how to take pictures of wild animals. There is an appended list of the animals discussed, annotated for the states in which they can be found.
