GRANDFATHER WAS A TROUT by John Bailey

GRANDFATHER WAS A TROUT

A tongue in the cheek approach to the serious books on fishing this, with many interpolations from Trendellenberg's Encyclopedia of Fishing (to be regarded with amazement but not to be followed), recounts the adventures of 12 year old Wilbur, a boy with a rest misunderstanding, and his placatorially inclined uncle in utter exaggeration. Tackle, files, casting, rod and reel, camping out, a trip to Maine, and man and boy fish to a fare-you-well, and Old Curmudgeon, the famous fish, is caught- in a disgraceful fashion. Something to tickle the experts here.
