KIRKUS REVIEW

Doctor Baillie needs no introduction to booksellers or theologians. Many laymen who were fortunate enough to discover his And the Life Everlasting will welcome this new volume with delight. For he is a man, gifted with the intelligence, persuasive logic and contagious faith necessary to introduce the modern man to God. He is a man without prejudice, eager to find the grain of truth, the seed of true worth in all modern philosophy, theology and religion and he examines the whole field with such ease and simplicity that anyone with the slightest desire to clarify his knowledge of God will be able to do so. We won't, however, guarantee the reader will be able to keep to the purely intellectual. It's a highly communicable disease, this faith of Dr. Baillie's. The seeker will find it easily contracted and many a scoffer will find himself infected too for Dr. Baillie's method of acquiring a knowledge of God takes the short and sure cut. He introduces his reader to the living God
