KIRKUS REVIEW

A story of a runaway proves him worthy of asylum in a small town and follows the effect of his presence on the fortunes of others. Protected by Marshall Evans, Biarn sets up housekeeping, has trouble with one neighbor, sets another boy's parents on the right track, and is again protected by Evans when the orphanage catches up with him- so that he is allowed to stay on in the town. Modest and of simple values as was his earlier Little Mule.
