LET'S VISIT CEYLON

On the plus side in an uneven series, this deals with an island of rare charm. The entire area of Ceylon is quite small, about the size of West Virginia. The author is in a position to give the reader a fairly complete view of that country. And he does, in terms of her history, economics, manners, traditions, economy, religion, transportation, and people. A compact and informative text illustrated with photographs, this is recommended as supplementary school reading to children who would know more of what Marco Polo claimed to be the world's most beautiful island.
