This is the book about the book, and reporter Corry eventually followed all the proceedings which have been so well aired from the time the brouhaha brewed up. Whatever interpretation he really has to contribute is made in the beginning--it was ""silly,"" ""morbid,"" ""sad"" and made possible by ""the extraordinary relationship between America and the Kennedys. ""Through letters, conversations (unidentified sources), and summations of all that took place--between the Kennedys and their emissaries and the publishers, the agent, the lawyers, one reads again what was in the news media for months. One questions whether it serves any useful purpose to have it documented in book form. The Death of the President--here lies.
