KIRKUS REVIEW

That's Merryfield -- a small community -- one of those older-styled experiments in group living with a code of common laws and a practice of common law marriages. The patriarch's daughter is almost strangled by the married (shame) man she met by moonlight and he is later killed which brings, in the unobtrusive Dr. Cellini, Creasey's old psychiatrist, who is further shocked to find that Merryfield is as bugged as the White House. Not as mechanical as the "" "" "" on your typewriter -- a slightly different story from that omnificent producer.
